Let’s take a break from the mundane design concepts and do some space exploration. Well, I am talking about the concept space station designed by André Dettler. This concept was a submission for the “Design the Future” contest, which was presented by Solidworks and NASA. The Gallagher Space Center has been conceptualized with an intention for long term space habitation for workers.

Carnegie Mellon University loves robots and, more than that, a challenge: How do you get at possible minerals around the Moon's crater-studded south pole where there's no light for energy, or to see what you're doing? The CMU team's solution is the Scarab, a fully autonomous prospector 'bot, that'll carry out its work using laser scanners to navigate the harsh terrain and a radioactive power

A new 9,000-square-foot, 3-story spaceship called "Second Solar" has just been constructed in the German city of Böblingen, designed to travel to distant solar systems to research inhabitable environments. It's loaded up with "giant engines, a thermal shell to protect the crew and landing runners designed to cope with unknown surface conditions."

We've all seen black and white footage of astronauts on the moon hot doggin' it over craters and dunes in a trick electric buggy, but that was over thirty years ago. In 2020, when a new generation of astronauts head there, they'll need a new generation of whip too, and that's just what NASA recently demonstrated to the public.

EcoFactor: This technology aims at providing clean and renewable energy on a large scale.
Space solar power could be the best solution to our long-term energy needs. Just imagine not having to set aside large pieces of land for solar power fields but instead, use the vastness of space to set up solar power stations and then have the power sent wirelessly back to earth.

Created by American graphic illustrator Terrence Hardeman, this ravishing modeling project here presents us with a rather realistic view of what commuting on Mars could look like. Titled Going for a Spin on Mars, the project is inspired by NASA’s Martian Rover and the creations of legendary futurist Syd Mead and is expected to develop into a full fledged “Go-Nav Land Yacht explorer.”

Moonstream is all about exploring the Moon in an adventurous way. NASA Moonstream concept is a proposal designed by Anthony Sims, a student of Art Center College of Design. This is a heavily vehicle inspired by nature like the defensive shell of a tortoise. The wheels have the capability to move slowly like an insect and are completely adjustable for height and track.
