The Green Jet that designer Erik Sifrer has put together is one concept that the fat cats who want to make a green statement will eagerly anticipate. This 187 foot mega sail yacht runs both on wind and hydrogen power which instantly makes it a planet friendly concept. To fully harness wind power, the Green Jet has two automated Aero-sail systems that can be controlled by a touch screen. This system along with an onboard computer will determine the best position of the sail for maximum propulsion and thus enable the Green Jet minimize the use of it’s twin 950 Kilowatt engines.
At the end of the day, yachts will be primarily bought for the enormous luxury they bring to the table and the Green Jet has plenty of it. The deck has a pool right in it’s middle which also serves as a separation between the yacht’s owner and the crew. The pool has a jacuzzi built in and the yacht’s interiors are done up luxuriously. The futuristic looking interiors can also be customized according to every whim and fancy of the owner. To give it an aura of a dance floor in the middle of the sea, the sails have lights that light up at night. On the whole, the Green Jet embodies ultimate luxury with plenty of planet friendly bits that make it one very green yacht.
