18 floors and 100m high, Khaledya Tower offers 20,000m² of gross floor area for mixed use (residential, retail and commercial) in downtown Abu Dhabi, UAE. The concave form, directly influenced by the narrow site, creates a dramatic profile when viewed from ground level. The simple concrete frame is banded on either side by two stretched rings that delineate the overall shape. Faceted glass comprised of sun-shading, honeycombed louvres sheathes the remainder of the form and a sunken garden is located below street level.
