One important future development is ubiquitous computing. For a long time futurists talk about this but nowadays we see that more and more organisations see this as an important development. Finally, I think! The word ubiquitous computing is from Marc Weiser of Xerox PARC. For I know the word is first used in 1993 by Weiser. He believes that ubiquitous computing is the third generation of computers. The first generation is the main-frame computer and the second is the personal computer. The third generation ubiquitous computing is the generation where computers will disappear to the background of our lives and we will use a lot of computers without actively knowing. This is the world which I call: Transreality
