The levitating Hover Scooter from Hammacher Schlemmer, could be your personal hovercraft. An engine-powered fan, lifts the scooter above ground and the stream of air from a vent in the craft’s rear, steers the scooter. Acceleration and turns are managed by the rider shifting his body and weight, using the handlebars provided.

The chariot is a wearable commuter that looks to have come straight out of some science fiction novel. Japan sort of led the superfast train revolution from the front, and though they don’t have the fastest trains anymore (as of yet) their bullet trains just keep getting better. The Shinkansen will get a new, faster member running on the track at a crazy speed like 200 mph. These new E5 series bullet trains from JR East are made of aluminum alloy frame.

Daniel Simon has some great designs to his name, and his designs for “Cosmic Motors” are probably the best. Simon has designed cars for Volkswagen and Bugatti, and he has an entire collection of designs of futuristic vehicles sold in another galaxy by the fictional Cosmic Motors. And he has a book to go with it, one that details the founding of Cosmic Motors in 8966.

At the Geneva Motor Show, Giorgetto Giugiaro will unveil his new design, the world’s fastest hybrid. The new Giugiaro concept is built on last year’s Italdesign Quaranta, the new showcar will put hybrids on the (very) fast track.
