The levitating Hover Scooter from Hammacher Schlemmer, could be your personal hovercraft. An engine-powered fan, lifts the scooter above ground and the stream of air from a vent in the craft’s rear, steers the scooter. Acceleration and turns are managed by the rider shifting his body and weight, using the handlebars provided.

Japan sort of led the superfast train revolution from the front, and though they don’t have the fastest trains anymore (as of yet) their bullet trains just keep getting better.
